The Olympus JF-240 is a therapeutic duodenoscope for ERCP, with a 1235 mm working length, 12.6 mm outer diameter, 100° field of view and 3.2 mm instrument channel. It is a generation-neutral instrument: the same scope works with CV-230, CV-240, CV-260 and CV-260SL processors, and with the CLV-U20, CLV-U40 and CLV-260SL light sources. That breadth is practically valuable in a department running mixed-age towers, because one scope can move between rooms without a connector change.

Reprocessing and Care — Critical Points
Duodenoscopes demand the most rigorous reprocessing of any flexible scope: follow the manufacturer's manual cleaning protocol including the elevator region and its recess, without deviation.
Leak test before every procedure and inspect the elevator for smooth travel.
Dry the channel and elevator area thoroughly before storage; retained moisture is a recognised contamination risk.
Store hanging vertically in a dedicated cabinet with the bending section relaxed.
